Albany’s QBE Stadium is purpose built to cater for community rugby and football as well as high profile national and international games. As the centrepiece of the 23-hectare North Shore Domain, it has a large oval field and four sporting fields dedicated to community use. The stadium can comfortably host a crowd of 25,000 for those big match days.
A recent $2.5 million development upgrade has increased QBE’s versatility, with two artificial turfs and LED floodlights making it available for day and night-time use. With several flexible function rooms and private corporate hospitality facilities, guests are treated to a relaxed, inspiring environment for any special event.
QBE Stadium is also home to New Zealand Football, Northern Football Federation, North Harbour Rugby Union, Marist North Harbour Rugby Club and Harbour Sport. With growing demand for entertainment venues on the North Shore, it is also popular venue for outdoor concerts and events.
