Auckland Museum Trust Board
Regional Facilities Auckland (RFA) and the Auckland Museum Institute (AMI) announce the following board appointments for the 2019 year.
Three members of the Auckland Museum Trust Board Orchid Atimalala, Karen Avery and Mark Binns have been reappointed for a further two-year term.
Two new members have been appointed to the Auckland Museum Trust Board for a two-year term, John Judge and Rick Carlyon.
RFA and AMI would like to thank the Rt. Hon Sir Pita Sharples and Jo-anne Wilkinson, who are retiring from the board, for their commitment and contribution to the Auckland Museum Trust Board over the past four years.
MOTAT Trust board
Regional Facilities Auckland (RFA) and the MOTAT Society announce the following MOTAT Board appointments for the 2019 year.
The reappointment of Sue Wood for a further two years, with new members David Downs, Gavin Fernandez, Dr Bryan Young and Samantha Sharif being appointed for a two-year term.
RFA and the MOTAT Society would like to thank Dr Lesley McTurk and Bruce Howat for their commitment and contribution to the Museum Trust Board, as well as the Rt Hon Judith Tizard and William (Bill) Rayner for their respective contributions to the board over the last six years.
RFA, AMI and the MOTAT Society would like to thank all current and outgoing board members who have contributed to Auckland in significant ways. “We are grateful to all board members for their significant contribution to these important cultural institutions which benefit all Aucklanders.”
RFA is responsible for making recommendations to Auckland Council on the Auckland Council appointments to the boards.
Five members of the Auckland Museum Board are appointed by Auckland Council, four members are appointed by the Auckland Museum Institute and one member is appointed by the Taumata-a-iwi.
On the MOTAT Board, six members are appointed by Auckland Council and four members are appointed by the MOTAT Society.
